Who bears the pregnancy?

This is very true. As a caring man whose wife is pregnant, you discover that the pregnancy affects you in more than one ways. In fact, you may be surprised that it's you who is doing much of the job.

My same is Sammy and I got married late last year.

We were actually expecting the pregnancy but apart from the the popular syndromes like loss of period, morning sickness and vomiting, we dint know what to expect during the early period of pregnancy. In fact, my wife didn't start with any of those.

One evening in February, she was slower than usual. We thought it was due to the stress of the day so she just went to bed.

The following morning, she went to work but she had to come back home. She was really sick.On her way back, something prompted her and she bought a PT (Pregnancy Test) strip and used it. She's pregnant.

Of course I was happy but that was the beginning of the journey into my pregnancy.

The following day was a Saturday so she went to see the doctor who confirmed the pregnancy and gave her some advice on how to take care of the pregnancy and herself. She was advised to
  • Have plenty of good rest especially now (during the first three months)
  • Eat plenty of balanced diet in small frequent meals through out the day
  • Drink. Keep you self hydrated
  • Ask questions when you're not sure of something
  • Don't take any medicine without doctors prescription
  • Reduce alcohol and smoking (fine, she neither drinks nor smokes)
This wouldn't have bothered me a bit but the question is "who will do all her chores now?"
May I also tell you that if your wife is pregnant, you will be spending more.
You'll spend more money, more time with her more time in the kitchen and doing more chores at home. All these and more will be added to your unavoidable daily business (or job). So, Who really bears the pregnancy
